On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Western Lake Superior Trollers Association is proud to host Vets on the Lake—a day dedicated to honoring our veterans with the healing power of fishing, community, and connection.
This special event brings together over 50 volunteer boat captains, local supporters, and community members to give back to those who have served our country. Veterans are treated to a full day on the water, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Superior and the camaraderie of fellow servicemen and women.

- Morning: Light breakfast and a great day of fishing with local boat captains
- Afternoon: Lunch served on the boat
- Evening: Community fish fry & dinner together
- Free for Veterans: No fishing license required
